The Deal: OK…who wants to be a rock star???
Dixon Drums has just announced a new contest that could not only outfit you with a new drum kit, but also gives you a chance to show the world those sweet chops that you’ve been working on in your basement!
Here’s how it works:
- Visit your local Dixon retailer (click here for a list of dealers).
- Have a friend film you playing your best 2-minute drum solo on the Dixon Demon kit.
- Upload it to http://youtube.com/group/DixonDrumsContest and share your link with friends who will vote for you!
The public will vote to decide the top 6 entries to be submitted to an A&R panel in Hollywood who will declare a Grand Prize winner. The Grand Prize winner will win a 3-day/2-night trip for two to Hollywood, CA and perform with studio musicians live in front of an A&R panel at a major recording studio! The performance will be filmed and featured on the A&R Channel on television! The winner will also get to talk music and drums with the execs.
In addition, Dixon will present the Grand Prize winner with a Dixon Outlaw Series 7-piece drum set and a full complement of hardware (ARV: $10,000). The five runner-ups will each receive a Dixon snare drum (ARV: $300).

if i have money to buy,i wont simply go and take part in competition..but i love drums very much..although i have no chance to play in church,i also dont wish to give up my interest upon drums..maybe its impossible to win..but i would like to try..thanks 4 the opportunity..

I’m a christian.. we have been having our drum set since churched opend.. drums are really expensive now in days! especially if u want a good 1! u know wat i mean u should always give ur best 2 god! so i would LOVE 2 win this drum set! so i can play it in church.. god bless u!
