The Deal: If any of you have had your eye on a killer piece of gear from an online retailer like Musicians Friend or Music123 and wish you could box up your old equipment as a trade-in, you’re now in luck.
Trade In Cash Out has just been launched by Musicians Friend, Woodwind and Brasswind, and Music123. All three retailers offer cash or store credit for your unwanted gear.
According to the website, this process can be completed in four easy steps:
- Describe your gear using a FREE No-Obligation Quote Form
- They provide you with a firm quote for your gear (usually 1-2 business days)
- Pack your gear and ship it to them using their pre-paid shipping label
- They give you Store Credit or Cash!
If anyone has already used this service, I’d love to hear about your experience.

Personally, I have loved my experiences with trade in cash out. They offered me cash or trade on instruments instantly. Therefore, I didnt have to wait around to sell my instrument. They pay right away!!!
Never again, not only did they change their offer after they recieved it to under 40% of what was offered (36.4% of original offer to be exact) saying it was worse than i stated…Bullshit…yeah when i got it back it had a little extra…a big ass headstock chip and a nice big dent and chip to the body.
I sent that bitch “double boxed” in boxes made for guitars.
FUCK YOU Trade In- Rip Off out.
Musicians Frind you lost one helluva customer. Sincerly, “FUCK YOU!!!!!”
