Get High-Quality Prints of Vintage Fender Ads and Artwork from ArteHouse
The Deal: Most guitarists, even if not a vintage freak, can appreciate the art and importance of vintage guitars. Some of us take that geekery to another level to vintage guitar posters and advertisements.
I must admit that as music became a huge part of my life in the 1990s, I thought Fender’s “You Won’t Part With Yours Either” ads were genius. Of course, those who were older than me were quick to point out that these were actually updated versions of Fender ads from the 1960s, created by ad man Robert Perine. These ads showed people carrying their Fender guitars and amps into unlikely situations, unable to leave them behind.
Fender has teamed up with ArteHouse, a large publisher of vintage posters and graphics that uses a high-quality printing process and museum-quality materials, to create collectible versions of these ads as well as other Fender memorabilia.
In addition to the Perine ads, the company also offers dozens of Fender instrument and amplifier prints, reproductions of Fender’s acclaimed “Fairy Tale” ads of the mid-1970s, and a special 100-print limited edition run of “Birth of a Revolution” patent-style guitar prints using Leo Fender’s original patent submission illustrations for the Stratocaster® and Telecaster® guitars.
